Cavalier's animal companion question.

Im making a cavalier and it says to treat it as a druids animal companion.
do i add the animal companion base statistics to the stats it has in the beastiary or do i change its stats to the druid companion stats?

you use the stats given in the core book under druid. than when leveling use the chart to advance him. Also note that you have to use just those abilities it is given under Animal Companion and not what is in the bestiary.
