I've been doing my research and, in the world of Galorian, the Elves of Kyonin don't exactly see eye-to-eye with the Pathfinder Society because of all the looting that went on during their (elves) absence.
Does this mean that Elves (an maybe Half-Elves) wouldn't be caught dead being a member of the Pathfinder society? I understand that in a group/world where the cannon history and backstory isn't that huge of a deal; this wouldn't be either.
But if we were playing a game that focused heavily on the cannon stuff in Galorian history, how should this issue be handled?
I understand that some Elves and most Half-Elves dislike the traditionalist/isolationist ways of the 'high society' but would this be enough of a reason for one such Elf to say "Ya know what, can you really blame them?" and to join PFS (pathfinder society)?

The problem actually goes deeper than that. The Pathfinder Society is a very human organization, with factions divided mostly along human lines (Taldor, Scarzni, Latern Lodge, etc.), but humans only seem to barely make up a plurality of actual Pathfinders, let alone a majority. Even the two most famous Pathfinders are a half-elf and a tiefling.
If you really want to play into the motivations of a non-human (dare I use "Demi-human"?) Pathfinder, join up with either the Grand Lodge ("I believe in the ideals of the Society, even if they are human") or Silver Crusade ("some things are bigger than just mere human curiosity").
