How to properly report

Pathfinder Society

Hello guys,

I'm new to the whole DM'ing of a PFS PBP, and I'm almost finished with my first one. Now I'll have to report it, and fill in the Chronicle Sheet. Could someone please tell me where I can get the Event Code? Thanks!

Create the event to get the event code and then report it.

pathfinder society logo---> my pathfinder society in the gray bar in the top middle of the page ---> sign in-----> GM/event coordinator tab ----> Create new even button (creating a new event sometimes gets a little wonky)

Perfect! Thanks a million wolf!

I'm running into a few more questions.

In the adventure, one of the goblins they defeat says

Quote:

Combat Gear potion of cure light wounds, alchemist’s fire (3);

Other Gear dagger, light crossbow with 10 bolts, wooden holy symbol of Zarongel, 25 gp
A little below that, it says
Quote:

Rewards: If the PCs defeat the Icetooth goblins, reward each subtier thusly:

Subtier 1–2: Give each PC 89 gp.

Now, does this mean they get 25+89 gp? I'm guessing yes, but don't want to do it wrong.

I have figured out that if they want to buy the potion of cure light wounds, they have to at the end of the adventure. It is not simply "given" to anyone.

From how I understand it, all the gold and items on the creatures they defeated is already calculated into the final reward money given at the end.

So the PCs don’t get any extra gold, potions or anything that would be on the opponents, at least nothing permanently. If they find let’s say a potion of Cure Light Wounds on a goblin, if it isn’t used during the scenario, it disappears.

But as for reward, all they get is whatever is listed under the party's tier.

Combat gear can be used during the adventure.

The "for this fight give this pc this much money" is already totaled up for you on the chronicle sheet in the upper right hand corner. You would only go through the adventure to see how much a fight was worth if the PCS didn't win the encounters. Normally you just circle the max amount of money and the pcs get that: it already factors in everything you found in the adventure.

If they find a potion of CLW in the adventure they can drink it without costing themselves any money (this makes no in game sense but don't worry). If they want to have a potion of CLW in the next session they have to buy one: the chronicle only grants ACCESS to the the item, not the item itself. Note that chronicle access is pretty irrelevant 99% of the time because character's fame scores + the always available list will cover most of a pc's purchases.

You guys have been awesome, thank you!

One more thing I'm missing though is where I can find the "GM Pathfinder Society #"? Is this my regular PFS number, or will I receive a new one?

On the gold again.
On the page it says "Subtier 1-2, 502gp" under "Normal". However, when I add the money from the different acts I only get to '307gp'. They missed one act, but this is still not that much of a difference.

It's your PFS number.

In regards to gold, I find it easiest to just take the total on the chronicle and subtract anything that the players missed. The vast majority of my chronicle sheets have been for full gold.

Equipment is also factored in to the gold amount. I believe they add it together and divide it in half.

Edit: Correction, I believe the equipment's added together, then divided by 6 (players) and then in half (selling price).

So I'd just subtract the amounts they missed?
Would be easier anyway :)

Yeah, that's the easier way, by far.

yup. Do remember that if the party talks its way past a guard instead of killing him, they still get an amount of gold equal to what he had in his pocket and his equipment... somehow.

Only exception is if that says for example "They manage to locate the ..." and they fail to do that, they get absolutely nothing from that scene.

Or "Manage to kill monster x" and they avoided the place he was in. (gaming vs meta :p)
