OK. So I tried looking for the answer through the search feature, but all I got was a flood of "trading X race boon for Y race boon" threads.
My question is, can other boons be traded? For instance, My friend just got the boon for being able to use an axe beak as a cav/ranger/samurai/non druid etc. He has no use for it and wants to give it away to me. Is it legal to do so? Seems like racial boon trading is legal. Does it extend to non race boons?

I think the boon you are referring to is a reward on a chronicle sheet rather than a separate boon like the ones given out at a convention or games day. As such it is not tradeable.
A boon is tradeable if it comes on an individual sheet. It is not tradeable if it is part of a chronicle sheet for a scenario or module.

Thanks for the clarification. Was just curious as I could really use the axe beak mount flavor wise for a character, but my group(only one around) doesn't plan on doing that module again since they wont get any credit. So i am kinda hooped I guess.

That's a shame. It's a really good scenario.
Maybe you could go to a nearby convention? I don't know how easy that would be for you.
I live in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The closest con I could go to I think would be held in Edmonton which is 5 hours south of me. It wouldn't be a simple venture for me sadly. :(

Is there a current discussion board for trading boons?
Just because you go to a convention, does not mean you will get a good boon. I only play PFS 2 times a year at local game cons. (8 games over the weekend). I got Treasure map and other lesser boons.
I asked at each table to trade for an Aasimar. (Being the only Human at many tables,I can see the reason for the restriction.)
But I purchased the ARG over the summer, then the rule change happened. I think, If a person buys the book they should be able to have at least 1 PFS character before needing a special boon to play an Aasimar. (I love Clerics!!)

Not a board, no... but there is a thread. ^_^

The race swap actually happened two years ago, during the Summer Spring of 2014.
Two years before that was when Aasimars were first released for the general public.
Thoughts are that there will be another race swap when the Season 8 Guide gets released (although it's just speculation currently).

The change was announced earlier, but it didn't go into effect until Gencon, so summer is accurate.

You needed to create and play a tiefling or aasimar between 16 August 2012 and 13 August 2014 for it to be legal without a boon.
GM credit counted as well, it didn't require being played, unlike the APG Summoner removal that followed. However, you did need to specify on the chronicle it was a Tiefling or Aasimar, IIRC.

There is a Convention coming up in April for Edmonton PFS. If you GM you can get a race boon for whatever is currently in rotation.
Should look up Edmonton PFS on Facebook.

There is also the option for playing online by VTT or PbP. If you wanted to play the scenarios for that animal companion boon you shouldn't have much trouble getting someone to run it for you. Also there are PbP and VTT conventions that give race boons to the GMs, which is the only way to guarantee you'll get a race boon at any convention.

I'm actually looking to find a race boon that no one is using and might be willing to part with, myself. The last time I played was before they removed the ability to play Aasimar and Tiefling without a boon. I'd love to be able to play an Aasimar now that I'm jumping back into the Society, so if there's anyone willing to part with a boon they haven't used I'd be super extremely grateful <3
