Animal weights

Why are the weights of animals in Ultimate equipment listed in Ounces when everything else in pathfinder is listed in fractions of a pound? (1/2 lbs vs. 8 oz.)

Good question. As a non-American, I prefer as few different non-metric designations as possible :)

Weights for the whole monster manual line would also be appreciated. Does a huge rhino collapse a sturdy second floor?
