Paladin with a familiar?

So I'm curious is their an alternate class feature somewhere that gives a Paladin a familiar? If not, would it be overpowered if I allowed it to replace "Divine Bond"? Thanks for the assist.

I would say take leadership, have the party caster use planar ally to summon a Lantern Archon. A few good diplomacy checks and add some fighter/bard/pally levels to your new cohort/familiar.

Just a straight swap for Divine Bond would be woefully underpowered.

All you have to do is take Skill Focus: Knowledge (Any) and the Eldritch Heritage feat for the Arcane Bloodline...

Or, you can go Sacred Servant and choose a druidic animal domain... Eagle is the most Paladin-esque, perhaps.
