Not a FB-maniac myself, only following game forums (one of many) and posting something once in a while.

I don't like the fact they collect data on you and that some companies can access it, and to even view a FB page you have to log in and track that.

No Thank You, FaceBook

Agree here, but we are going out of thread :P

True, it is drifting off topic.

Have you viewed the Japanese version of the site and watched the character videos?

Yes, game looks amazing; i don't like the look of the fighter, the amazon and the sorcerer (yes, you got it right...for me it is a bit too much "bouncy", a Seoni like appearence and proportions would have been perfect)

From what i read it seems to have a bit of exploration and RPing beside hack'n slash

I also heard there is some exploration and RPing in the game.

I have a Facebook account, I only touch it once a year or so.

If you play Dark Arisen too and are interested in trade or hire pawns contact me :

I am not a fan of face book myself.

I don't care much for the design of the wizard.

I like Seoni but most artwork I see for her make her look like she has fake boobs and I really don't like that at all. At least the Sorceress boobs look natural even if magic might have been involved.

I hope you can leave a dungeon at anytime and gain what got so far instead of either waiting to leave after you beat the dungeon or you can leave earlier but don't gain any XP/GP for it.

Gandal:
Sure thing, I'm not on all the time, but I'll be happy to help. If you get a message/friend request from black_fae_blues, that'll be me.

I hope the trophies for Dragon's Crown aren't those "I-have-no-life" ones where you dedicate 20 hours towards getting one of the bronzes.

@Dragon78
I think you be forced to wait until you beat the end boss of the dungeon.
But It might also have a player spawn location like in Left 4 Dead.

The English site just put up the Dwarf and Elf character videos

They also have the Amazon and Wizard English vids out on youtube.

Some nice monster screenshots on the Japanese site as well.

Looks like the English site now has All 6 character movies.

and the How to play section has also been updated with new information, including multiplayer, skills, and other stuff.

looks like there is some character customisation

Neat.

Looking at the character selection screen.
Each character has 6 ability scores; STR, CON, DEX, INT, MGR, and LUC.
The ability scores are graded in letters, not numbers. I'm guessing Lowest to Highest order is E,D,C,B,A, and S.

Further more it looks like you learn skills in the Guild.
There are two broad categories Common and Class, and it looks like skills might have levels

You use skill points to gain these abilities plus the abilities have level, stat, etc. requirements. You gain skill points through level up and quest.

The order from best to worst is S,A,B,C,D,E it goes the same way for treasure types as well.

SORCERESS
STR E
CON D
INT A
MGR S
DEX B
LUC A

WIZARD
STR D
CON C
INT S
MGR A
DEX B
LUC D

DWARF
STR S
CON S
INT E
MGR D
DEX C
LUC B

ELF
STR B
CON C
INT B
MGR C
DEX A
LUC A

AMAZON
STR A
CON C
INT C
MGR C
DEX B
LUC A

FIGHTER
STR S
CON A
INT D
MGR C
DEX B
LUC B

@Dragon78 where did you find this? It's great.

Formatting it so it's easier to compare stats

And I'm compiling some data below it

SORCERESS (23)
STR: E, CON: D, INT: A, MGR: S, DEX: B, LUC: A

WIZARD (22)
STR: D, CON: C, INT: S, MGR: A, DEX: B, LUC: D

DWARF (22)
STR: S, CON: S, INT: E, MGR: D, DEX: C, LUC: B

ELF (24)
STR: B, CON: C, INT: B, MGR: C, DEX: A, LUC: A

AMAZON (23)
STR: A, CON: C, INT: C, MGR: C, DEX: B, LUC: A

FIGHTER (24)
STR: S, CON: A, INT: D, MGR: C, DEX: B, LUC: B

Data: With rank
Highest Stat: Second Place
STR: Fighter and Dwarf (S), Amazon (A)
CON: Dwarf (S), Fighter (A)
INT: Wizard (S), Sorceress (A)
MGR: Sorceress (S), Wizard (A)
DEX: Elf (A), Sorceress, Wizard, Amazon, and Fighter(B)
LUC: The Ladies (A), Dwarf, and Fighter(B)

Lowest Stat Second Place
STR: Sorceress (E) Wizard (D)
CON: Sorceress (E) Wizard, Elf, and Amazon(D)
INT: Dwarf (E) Fighter(D)
MGR: Dwarf (D) Elf, Amazon and Fighter(C)
DEX: Dwarf (C) Sorceress, Wizard, Amazon, and Fighter(B)
LUC: Wizard (D) Dwarf, and Fighter(B)

By Class: Highest and Lowest
Sorceress: MGR (S) STR (E)
Wizard: INT (S) STR and LUC (D)
Dwarf: STR and CON (S) INT (E)
Elf: DEX and LUC (A) CON and MGR (C)
Amazon: STR and LUC (A) CON, INT and MGR (C)
Fighter: STR (S) INT (D)

--------------------------------------------------

Looks like the Dwarf is a min-max character, and the Elf is balanced,
And looks like this is also true with Fighter and Amazon as well.

I think i'll take a week from work when this game comes out :)

Looks like Azure_Zero, Gandal, Dragon78 and Signore di Fortuna are the most common posters in this game thread,
and oddly the game supports 4-player coop.

There is a new video and if you pause just right it goes threw each character at the select screen and shows there stat growth.

Sweet, do you have a link to that video?

here

Freaking Sweet

Any idea on the level cap? Looks more and more awesome with each view i take.

I'm interested in the game, but I'm not sure if I could play it as often as I want if I do buy it.

I wish we could get a list of all the skills in the game right now.

I wish i had the game right now.....but could also be happy with the strategy guide (complete of all levels, skills, tactics and boss strategies of course).

I agree, it would help pass the time until the game is released.
But then it would take all away the exploratory aspects and discoveries of playing a new game.

True, but we also have to race RL ; often i don't have the time to discover everything myself, this is why in the last years i always used stategy guides,at least with very long, full of secrets games (Fallout 3,Fallout New Vegas,Skyrim, all Final Fantasy titles and so on).

Depends on how long is,or how many secrets Dragon's Crown has i guess.

I would also love to see all the abilities listed and what the best equipment is for each character.

The Japanese site had a few new updates and have a intro and system movies added.

I hate waiting for a game that looks this good.

This games has gone through quite a few delays, which usually happens to something I want. I know Dragon's Crown will be worth the wait and I hope it gets the recognition it deserves.

I wanted Duke Nukem 4ever, and it went trough delay city and it did not surpass or even measure up to the previous game Duke Nukem 3D.

DNF set a horrible precedent for delayed games (unless Starcraft: Ghost ever comes out) but, on the bright side, Atlus has been very open with details, not just a teaser here or there and no word for years at a time.

DNF was not the only delayed game I recall being bad; Giants: Citizen Kabuto.
Bugs and missing textures, though it was a fun game.

Oh, I enjoyed Giants, it was one of the first games I bought on GOG.com. Haven't finished it yet, but I've liked what I played.

When it was first released it was not very playable, and had problems.
After about 10 patches it got to a stable playable state with few problems, and I think there was another seven to ten patches after that one before they stopped updating it.

Though they did not fix the missing textures in some of the maps.

Well I want this game, Disgaea D2, South Park The Stick of Truth, Ducktales HD, Dungeons and Dragons arcade game collection, and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD.

That's quite a list there.

I'm still wait for HL2 Ep3.

Beyond Dragon's Crown and Stick of Truth, most of what I want has been released already. I have a bad habit of getting a console within a year of the next one being released :P

You too huh? I have yet to play mass effect myself.

I played Mass Effect for the first time a couple of months ago. I used to pre-order all the time and be diligent in buying the games I wanted. Now, I'm poor, developed game-related ADHD (I jump from game to game. Sorry Gandal, I swear I'll get back to DD soon, but I just bought Yakuza 4), and don't see the appeal in as many games as before. I think that's my inner geezer taking hold.

Don't worry, i have enough to keep myself busy :)

I wonder if any of us will buy DC day 1 and set it on the shelf, going "I'll get to it in a bit."

<slowly raises hand>

I'm a little bit behind in my games... (I've preordered it to get the art book...)

With about 5-6 Wii games, 20 PS3 games and over 100 PC games from GOG; I'm probably in the same boat. Gotta get that art book though.

I'm thankful the number of games I buy and play have dropped a good amount, heck even my wallet is thankful for it.

Quoting Tow Mater (Cars 2) :"That is exactly what i was thinkin'"
