They should be made aware of the situations that increase the number of squares a creature can move.
-Character is a monk.
-Character is Barbarian.
-Character has a magic item
-Character is a spellcaster or had a spellcaster friend cast a spell on him (a magus or alchemist could do that and proceed to attack)
-Character is making a charge
-Character is a fast-footed race
List off a couple of these and do not confirm any one of them is the answer. It seems like they think 30ft movement never has any exceptions.
