Forum Tags permanent now?

I just noticed that one of the RPG Superstar contestant's tags showed "Top 16" in an older post, and then "Top 8" in a newer post, instead of auto-updating to the current tag.

Is this true of all the tags now (e.g. Superscriber tags)? Or do the rest still update. If so, this is a great improvement. It always takes me a moment looking at an old post of Mark Moreland's asking a question like he isn't 'in the know' (or especially if someone replies using his old board name).

They're mostly permanent now, as of November or so. Subscriber tags will still auto-update to reflect current status, but things like job titles and RPG Superstar contestant statuses get "hardened" at the time the post is created.
