Hey, I don't keep up with all things Pathfinder but am having fun with Kingmaker. Can someone help me understand the First World where Nyrissa resides?
Is this First World a different plane of existance? Do most humans know about the first world or ... exactly who would know about it.
These Elders that live there, are they known to most humans as well? Do they inter-act much with Brevoy?
How do people travel to the First World normally?
Thanks for any other back ground you can provide.

The First World exists "behind" the Prime. It's not necessarily another plane - you can't banish something to/from it, things from the First World don't gain the extraplanar subtype when they come to the Prime, etc. - but it is a slightly different reality. It's a world that is in the same metaphysical place as the Prime, but slightly askew.
I believe the check to identify the Elders is higher than the DC 10 "everyone knows this" information, so I'd say that no, most common folk do not know of the Elders. And as far as I'm aware they do not interact with those outside their realm often, unless something directly draws their attentions.
Travel to the First World is usually done through magical gateways, points where the borders between worlds are thin, and the like.
Are you GMing or playing? If you're the GM, there's an excellent article on the First World in the back of Sound of a Thousand Screams.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes I am the GM. I will look for that article, I need more background. It is in the 6th module of Kingmaker, is that right?
I am so unfamiliar with the First World and the Eldars. Are they part of any other Pathfinder module or are the introduced here in Kingmaker?
A DC 10 is not very high, so while not common knowledge, plenty of people would know about the Elders and the First World. It seems I should have introduced the First World somewhat early in the campaign. We are just getting started on module 4 - we are not really using mass combat rules.
Thanks again.

Yep.

They are detailed in another book, but sadly I can't remember which book it is right now. The KM#6 article gives a good deal of information though, should be enough to get you by. =)

Yeah, one of KM's biggest weaknesses is the lack of focus on Nyrissa and her story and involvement in the early chapters. I made a point of having the fey and their world be more directly involved from the get-go in my game.
And you're right, DC 10 is not very high - DC 10 information is available to everybody, even if you're not trained in a skill. However, I said the DC to learn about the Eldest is (I believe) higher than DC 10 - probably significantly so, to learn detailed info about them individually, slightly lower (DC 20-ish, maybe 15 at bare minimum) to learn more general information like "The rulers of the First World are the Eldest, extremely powerful demigod-like ancient fey". I'd estimate at the minimum DC 20 to learn an individual Eldest's name and sphere of influence, though again I don't have my books on-hand at the moment and they might contradict me.

My last post in the Witchmarket discussion in the Campaign Setting section has some good insight into what the First World could be like. You should check that out.
