Prerequisites: BAB +6
Add BAB to damage when making a single attack. Bonus damage multiplies on a critical hit as normal. Works with charge and spring attack. Applies only to that attack so does not continue on to attacks of opportunity.
VS and PA work together for a single devastating hit
For full BAB class

I have been thinking about this solution for some time, and finally decided to work out some of the math on it. Just slightly more powerful than using power attack for a single attack, which may or may not be a problem for some. I think it works quite well. It makes it not as useful for things with a single big attack, but makes it more desirable as a single feat. Weapon choice is not penalized, and gains the bonuses associated with static damage such as critability.

Seems like a good system. We use another house rule were each vital strike feat adds 2d6 damage regardless of size or weapon used, and you can always use vital strike when using a single attack. I might want to borrow your variant for my next Campaign though, although it will be kind of weak on low levels and for classes with medium or poor bab.

I was familiar with the 2d6 variant, but I didn't think of it at the time I was working out the chart. Once I get a moment I will chart out the expected damages comparing the two methods as well.

I use this :
Vital Strike
prerequisites : BAB +6
When you make only one attack in a round add damage equal to your BAB, multiplied on a critical hit as usual.
If you have sneak attack, you count the creature as being flanked for the purpose of sneak attack though you do not get a bonus to hit unless you also flank. Creatures immune to critical hits or otherwise unable to be flanked by you do not suffer this additional damage.
