All quiet on the southern front?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I'm pondering a Taldan character for pfs that's gotten friendly with the Qadirans and taken to their religion. For what I have in my head to work ,the border has to have been quiet between the two for a bit. I seem to recall this is the case and want to make sure I'm correct.

IIRC, a faction of Saerenrae rebel priests is trying to increase the tensions between Taldor & Qadira. It has been said to be a possible AP to come.

You're good. Armed conflict ended over a century ago, just before the beginning of the Age of Lost Omens. The rivalry is entirely economic and rhetorical at the moment.

eeeexcelent. Thank you.

Yeah, IIRC it sounded like a big schism over both warmongering and the slave trade is either happening or on its way in Qadira's Sarenraen clergy.

I think Qadira also has the economic upper hand on Taldor at the moment too.

There are frequent cross-border raids and Taldan corsairs attack Qadiran shipping all along the coast.
There's a paragraph on relations between the two nations in the Taldor Companion book.
