Question about modules and fame

I might have overseen something there, but playing a module gives you 3xp and 4PP, which raise your fame score 4 points.
4.3 guide says you can buy stuff worth 500gp with 5 points.
Does that mean, you go to level 2 but can´t even buy something worth 500gp? Except the things on the always available list of course.

As i understand 3 scenarios should leave you with 6PP and 3xp right?

Yes, a normal module (not a Free RPG Day module) gives someone who survives the whole thing 3 XP and 4 PP.

Yes, 5 Fame is what is needed to unlock the 500 gp purchase limit.

3 scenarios can give you anywhere from 0-6 PP, and 0-3 XP, depending on success. Campaign management set a metric for PP gain to approximately 1.5 PP per scenario, or 4.5 PP per level, on average. Lots of people playing scenarios can blast past that average, but some will also not come anywhere that average from below, like the Chelaxian Paladin who finds that their faction missions would cause them to become Ex-Paladins or require an expensive Atonement afterwards.

Modules, therefore, are keyed to give "average" PP for their XP gain.

Scenarios, with the perfect concatenation of circumstances, can give you 6 PP and 3 XP for playing in three of them.

No necessarily. Three scenarios would only leave you with six PP if you always accomplished your faction mission, which isn't always something that you can count on.

But you've got that Fame/purchase limit right, yeah.

What do free RPG modules give you?

Free RPG Day Modules

The 16-page, Free RPG Day modules are shorter than a normal 32-page module and are more in line with a normal Pathfinder Society Scenario. Currently, these include Master of the Fallen Fortress, We Be Goblins!, and Dawn of the Scarlet Sun. To bring the Free RPG Day modules more in line with the rest of Pathfinder Society Organized Play, all current and future sanctioned Free RPG Day modules will award 1 XP, 1 PP and the gp amount listed on the Chronicle sheet if using the medium advancement track. If using the slow advancement track, they award 1/2 XP, 1/2 PP and half the gp listed on the Chronicle sheet. These apply only on successful completion of the adventure. If you have played any of the Free RPG Day modules listed above and been awarded Chronicle sheets for them, the XP, Prestige Points, and gp you received remain unchanged. All other rules for sanctioned module play, found in Chapter 6 of the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play, should be followed.

how you have fame im a newbies lolll

Scarab Sages 3/5

Completing scenarios, factions missions and modules earn you prestige points, which add to your fame score. Every prestige point you earn raises your fame score, even if you spend prestige points to buy something, fame score stays the same. See PFS guide.

All players should download the Campaign Guide for Organized Play. It's a free download in the PFS section and it has answers to the bulk of these questions.

@dunrosh:

A PFS scenario can be worth up to 2 Prestige Points/Fame. Obtaining these points requires fulfilling success conditions given in the scenario instructions to the GM.

The PFS Quests are worth n (none) Prestige Points. They are quick, filler adventures that only take 1-2 hours.

Sanctioned modules come in a couple of flavors:

Free RPG Day modules are worth up to one (1) PP for successfully completing the module's mission.

Regular Pathfinder modules are worth up to 4 Prestige Points for successfully completing the module goal.

Similar to regular Pathfinder modules are sanctioned sections of Adventure Paths and the levels of the Thornkeep dungeon in the Pathfinder Online book. Each of these is also worth up to 4 Prestige Points for successful completion.

As for what the value of Fame is, that is described in a table in both the free Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play (currently version 4.3) and the Campaign Setting book Pathfinder Society Field Guide.
