Just curious, but do you allow your players to use Book of Magic: Insurgency of Summer? It is designed to work with this adventure path.

No sir i am afraid i havent considered it, as this is the first i hhave heard of it.
Usually i dont use third party books unless i am going way outside of the std parameters of the normalities in an adventure path. however other than viewing the web page for it, what recommendations do you wish to suggest from it?

The best place, IMO, to turn is Itchy's review. It popped less than an hour ago and I feel it does a good job of describing what is within. The fact that it is a 5 Star review is pure coincidence. ;)

Session 3 is done
Session 1
so essentially the heroes went out to investigate the ambush.
Encounter 1: they scrapped with the enemies and eventually defeated it.
Encounter 2: They went into the woods and found a chest in the woods, unfortunatly the halfling was overzealous and immediately flipped open the chest. as the taught rope did recoil like the log from 'predator 1' the Witch went to -5, the barbarian was scratched, the 7' tall village idiot was missed, and the sorcerer was critically hit and reduced to -9. Fortunately the 2 casters did make their DC 15, and DC 19 stabillization tests first try.
(cue PC retreat to town to rest)
Upon returning the next day
Session 2
Encounter 3: A big white lizard, leapt out and did harm to the big guy, unfortunately they did smash it quickly.
Encounter 4: The frozen archers did catch them off guard by not having access to snowshoes on all, but 2 PC did go down temporarily by color spray spells. and thhe witch was incapacitated.
Session 3
Encounter 5: They had shock and awe vs the snowman, and while theyy did deal with it and their icy friends the idiot cried awhile vs the loss of his farmer friend
Encounter 6: Three women did argue upon the road, who would use the tent to rest first, and after a bit of distraction and sneaking they did engage and incapacitate the bandits. (prisoners, maybe possible bride/cohorts.)
Encounter 7: as they approached High Sentinel lodge the rogue went out and the halfling spotting a trap. the trap was defeated, but the hardway using its business end. The crossbow did fire and pierce the Owl'book. and despite it not being dead, the string attached to the bolt did alert the occupants in the Dining hall.
Session 4:
