What do you guys think is more acceptable?

Making a tiefling alchemist here and just trying to plan things out, I am wondering if the vestigial arm or tentacle is more acceptable or are both terrible.

I understand they do about the same thing except the tentacle and grab and slam and the arm can hold a weapon, what I am wondering is which is more socially acceptable.

Would the NPC prefer talking to the guy with a tentacle or and extra arm. Personally I'd say tentacle simply because it isn't an arm, a 3rd arm can be kind of weird, that guy seems a little too handsy.

No local player or GM around here would frown on either. In a social RP situation either could be frowned upon, but you're already a Tiefling, so I can't imagine an extra appendage is going to ruin the gala.

My friend has a Fighter / Alchemist with a Vestigial Arm, and wielding a massive two-hand weapon with a shield seems to work out for him.
