Turning the familiar into a weapon?

Homebrew and House Rules

I'm just curious if this could be somehow houseruled.
As an alchemist, I'd like to grab the Tumour Familiar discovery, and then the feat that allows better familiars.

If I recall correctly, one of those, a rakhasha type could take the form of any weapon. Think it'd be too strong to allow treating the familiar as a weapon for enchanting and spells purposes.

Would be really sweet to grab a sword or dagger from the chest or shoulder/arm.

If you can get a copy of it, check out C3 "The Lost Island of Castanamir" for some interesting takes on a similar thing, the Gingwatzim. I used this basic idea to create the main character's girlfriend/weapon in the short story "My Girl the Axe" in Explosive Runes magazine.
