Defending weapon question 2015

If I have a +3 defending weapon and I allocate all the enhancements to AC, is it +2 to AC or +3 to AC. The reason why I'll asking is because the defending weapon ability bonus is +1.

+3. Remember that you have to be wielding the weapon to get the bonus, i.e. attacking with it.

if you have a +3 enhancement bonus, then you can shuffle 3 points to your AC. Only the enhancement bonus matters.

If you have a +3 defending weapon, it has a total equivalent enhancement of +4. But it actually has an enhancement of +3, which is what you can divide between the weapon and the AC bonus.

So the maximum you could allot would be +3.
