I'm currently setting up a pthfinder event at a local convention and need to pick scenarios. The convention this year has a kinda wild west theme. Which scenarios do guys recommend that kinda have an old west theme? I need this asap so haste is appreciated. Thnaks

Scarab Sages

Pathfinder isn't really the type to have old west themed scenarios. I know we have zombies, dark horror, and such, but not sure on the west theme. Heck, firearms are just to the flintlock stage in PFS.

I'm looking at the legal scenarios, and I'm not seeing many 'western' themed ones.

There are a few desert ones, but not much else. If you want to find one, look through the sanctioned modules or scenarios and read the brief synopsis provided.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Yeah there really isn't a good Wild West feeling area or scenarios. The desert ones tend to be more Arabia/Sahara themed.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 **** Venture-Captain, Michigan—Mt. Pleasant

Hmm...

I think Defenders of Nesting Swallow has kind of a western theme (Far East western...) The players defend a small town from bandits.

In Goblinblood Dead they're sent to protect a caravan as it goes through a forest.

Pallid Plague has a race to stop a disease from spreading, involves a lumbercamp and is sort of on the frontier.

Murder on the Silken Caravan is another guard the caravan, and is actually set in the desert.

I don't know a lot of the older higher level scenarios, so can't really comment on them. These are the closest ones I've played that could be seen as having some western flavor. But as Zauron said there aren't any obvious western scenarios.

Indeed; it's pretty much "The Seven Samurai" (which, of course, inspired "The Magnificent Seven", as well as "The Three Amigos". :-D )

Grand Lodge 4/5

Heh, Defenders just came to mind and I was coming back to post about it. :)

Red Harvest

Why I think it is a western:

The plot is the same as Fist Full of Dollars, Yojimbo, Last man standing
