Printing Paizo Gamemastery / Pathfinder maps (PDF)

Accessories

Does anyone print the PDF maps bought here on Paizo.com? And if so, how do you do it?

I'm interested in printing out the maps (notably for Thornkeep).

I haven't tried, but I think to get the best job you'd need to go to a printers and ask them to print to scale and laminate.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'd just skip to buying the flip maps which are already laminated. The Thornkeep double-pack is a particularly good deal if you collect maps, especially since if you're going to be buying the PDF, you might as well buy the flip maps as a pre-order while subscribing to the map line for a month. That will effectively give you the flip maps for $8 over what you're paying for the PDF, or $2 a side which is far cheaper than what Kinkos would charge for a color print that size not even counting the laminating.

I don't recommend printing the Flip-mats. They eat up a lot of color and any way you slice it, it will probably cost more than just buying the actual product from Paizo (unless you don't have to pay for the printing somehow, but ultimately someone does). The coating they use allows for any type of marker and the colors are exactly what was intended.

The Map Packs on the other hand, work pretty well with a good color printer on cardstock and you can print as many tiles as you want.
