Liberty's Edge 5/5

2012 is done, so I decided to take a look at the numbers. I'm certain there are many who have me beat, but it's still pretty impressive.

During 2012, I did the following:

• GM'd 68 PFS games (Azmyth you still need to log God's Market Gamble).
• Played 70 PFS games (I still need to log Rebel's Ransom).
• Attended 6 gaming conventions here in California.
• Drove an average of 1,500 miles a month attending games in stores all over California and even one in Reno, Nevada.
• Had the pleasure of meeting and gaming with hundreds of fantastic players, GM's, and the marvelous characters they brought to life.
• Ran and played in five different Adventure Path campaigns every Wednesday night, Saturday night, and alternating Fridays with a wonderful group of Fresno players.
• I spent roughly 12% of 2012 actually playing Pathfinder.

All in all, it was a great year.

This year, I intend to attend two more cons (PaizoCon for sure and hopefully GenCon), start running another AP, and probably play a bit less (I'm nearly out of scenarios).

So, another good year planned.

Great post. Thanks to you, and all VOs, for the outstanding efforts put forth to make PFS awesome. Now go take a nap ;-)

We would love to have you back!

Edit: We are rocking the PFS here in Reno, 5 days a week! Go Scott!

Thank's for everything Will!

I remember the first time we met out in Tracy in 2011 when I was touring all the BAPS stores before going to Iowa to my running of Eyes of the Ten at KublaCon in 2012.

I love stories about other people's journeys, and I love them more when they are happy and successful.

I especially love your story even more because I imagine I've had influence positive influence on your experience which has a positive influence on the experience of everybody you've traveled to play with, giving me the warm and fuzzies all over.

While I go back to Iowa tomorrow, I look forward to seeing you again once I'm back in May, maybe we can go on some road trips to visit various locations, and sorry I didn't get to see you over my break here, I only managed to hit up 3 stores this time.

Lexica,

Five a week is amazing! You guys have a wonderful play space and some really fun players. It was great seeing familiar, Reno faces at Pacificon in September. Hopefully, I'll see some more of you guys at Conquest Sacramento in April.

Robert,

I had a blast playing in Tracy with Farak "The Most Powerful Mage in all Absalom" (title contested). Even better knowing that some of the "newbies" playing in that game (Scott and Patrick), and have gone on to be GM's and organizers in the Bay Area and Central Valley.

You also did an amazing job running Eyes of the Ten for us at KublaCon. Thanks a lot for that. I had a blast. Running it in five sessions back to back was a real marathon. Hopefully, I'll see you in May and you will get a chance to play a bit more this KublaCon

Great post, Will. I hope you know how much we all admire and respect you here. I call you the "Iron VL" behind your back, you know. Thanks for all you've done for us up here, and for setting a high bar for me to aspire to. The ride to Reno was awesome. We should do it again sometime.

Nice Post Will. It's been great having you come up to Stockton on occasion. Still think you and Will are a bit insane driving 2+ hours up for a single game, but it's great having you and Will up when you make it. You are definitely a VL+ ;)

What are the dates for BookCon again? I'll have to pencil that on the calendar, there are some decent places to ride near there.

BookWyrm Con is March 9-10th. It is a free convention being hosted by our local library. There will be four slots with five tables of PFS and five tables of other RPG's.

Our Warhorn (with directions and some hotel info) is here.

Sessions end early on Saturday (5 PM), so we're talking about a pizza social for all the GM's and out of towners.

I'll be up in Oakland in 10 days on the 21st with Josh McIllwain (Three Toed Sloth). It looks like Mitchell will be heaping abuse upon us in The Flesh Collector.

Heh, um, sorry. I didn't mean to denigrate. I can only blame the many Call of Cthulu, Carrion Hill, and Carrion Crown games for causing me to mix up toes and eyes.

I like how he took offense to that but said nothing when Dennis referred to him as Will two times in an earlier post.

Haha, I didn't even notice that. Now I'm DOUBLY offended!

Drove allot less probably 500 miles

Played in allot of Home groups. PF Module Group, S&S, running S&S different ones, Slumbering Tsar. getting ready for another S&S. Monday thursdays and sundays.

This next year hopefully play Eyes of the Ten with some locals.
Hope to get a 5th star and play more.

Reno is blowing up. Like Lexica stated, 5 nights a week, all possible due to amazing store support. We would love to see out of state faces. Congrats on the stellar year of pfs. Here's to many more.
