I'd like for them to offer some sort of limited Alpha perks so that pledgers do not have to wait 18 months. Obviously not full access as those Alpha supporters paid a lot of money for that right, but maybe be part of a rotating group that would have access for one weekend a month to test builds etc.
The combat simulator might go a ways toward that, maybe take the edge off the wait? Hopefully?

Athansor wrote:Yes, but the way KS works if they don't get to 1M they nothing so if they are 100K short they lose it all.I'm aware, but the point isn't to break even, it's for them to raise money for Pathfinder online. Also Pathfinder Online is being produced by Goblinworks not Paizo, which has it's own company and accounting.
Kickstarter isn't a discount club, it's a place to help fund ideas that you want to support. As is a fair amount of the $1 million Goblinworks is raising will go towards the physical products and shipping for everything they are giving away. If they raise another $200k by "breaking even" on product giveaways, it doesn't really help the project and isn't in the spirit of kickstarter.
And Mr. Dancey had explained once that if they can't get at least the $1mil, it isn't worth much to them since they won't be able to speed up much with less. They'll make the game regardless with the funds they already have.

Great idea, Leperkaun! Seriously. If they'd get that in soon it would be awesome! I doubt they can. I don't think they'll even see this until tomorrow.
I worry that they took the weekend off. Unbelievable, if you ask me, that they'd not be 100% focused on this KS at the end here. Star Citizen ran a 24 hour marathon with Chris-freaking-Roberts on videocast the whole time. GW doesn't even show up on the message boards. Not a single post on the KS comments from them today. Wow.
I really want this to go, but I can't express how very disappointed I am in their senior leadership...or lack thereof.

What if we announce this, to encourage new backers, encourage $35's to bump up to $100's, and quiet all this discussion about Daily Deals?
Crowdforgers:
1st Character gets all daily Deals
Destiny's Twin gets daily deals based on pledge date.
Adventurers/Music Lovers/Loremasters:
1st Character gets daily deals based on pledge date (as it is now).
Destiny's Twin doesn't get any daily deals (as it is now).
This will still keep the earlier items more rare than the later, and still reward the earlier backers (while providing a way for new backers -- which we need -- to get the Daily Deals).
That will provide incentive for new backers to back at $100, and for current Adventurer level people to bump up to Crowdforger.
Thanks for listening!
(I post this idea as someone in for $300, who has been in at at least $100 since the first hour of the Kickstarter)

I have a principle issue with GW breaking their word. Just me, I guess, but promises should mean something.
I'd not complain either way and don't really give a rats behind about the stupid DD (which I have most, but not all.) But I don't want to reward the whiners. It only encourages their entitlement mentality.
What if people could pledge $1/day for any item they wanted. The Goblin Sword would be $30. The last item $1. If they really want to help the KS they can get the thing they want. If they just want to whine...well, I'm not sure we need them.
