In kung Fu we have a technique called "Monkey Steals Peach". But that's a bit gruesome. I would call it what Captain James Hook would call it; Bad Form. That's what he called Dirty Tricks of all kinds.
Gollum would call them "Tricksy" hobbitses.
That's all I got for now. It's a good mechanic and it does deserve a good name.

I think Tricksy Hobbitses is what I am going to be calling it at my table.
Any possible Tolkien reference is pretty much demanded in my group. One of my friends right now is playing a Gnome (bard) shopkeeper that got coaxed by his mysterious Magus friend into joining a rowdy group of pirates on an adventure.

Heh! Sounds a bit familiar! I like it!

I think it was the honorable Sir Terry Pratchett who said that there was nothing you wanted to do less than piss off the guy who was head height to your nards.
Also, "Kick 'im inna fork!" sounds better than "Kick 'em in the nads!"
I always appreciate new terms to use in fantasy cultures to replace common slang. Halflings usually get the best ones.
