Soooo... During The Skinsaw Murders that I'm running, the party (consisting of a human gunslinger, halfling monk, tengu druid, and catfolk sorcerer) come across one of the infected townfolk trussed up like a scarcrow. The party is trying to figure out how to save her (no one prepped cure disease), and the following came up as part of the conversation.

The party was worried about the townfolk turning and attacking them at night so the monk came up with this "wonderful" idea.

The halfling monk suggested taking one of the ears of corn and turn it into a makeshift ball gag so she can't bite the party. The player playing the monk then explains exactly how he's making the corn cob gag which sparks off a conversation (and argument) about the ethics of using a gag on an unwilling person and if a corn cob is the BEST option the party had to gag her.

Yeah.. I would love to have seen the face of anyone walking by our window then.

The fact that the townsfolk is diseased is reason enough to take whatever measures to bind and secure them. We had a similar experience in our campaign. Two locals found had not fully succumbed to the disease. The party took them to another local farmhouse, taking similar precautions to secure them. The party Cleric had just reached 5th level at that time, but he was too late to save these locals. He was just in time however to heal an affected party member.

Oh I agree, but the thing that made it just out of the ordinary is the druid had plenty of rope and a good burlap sack so they had ample protection. It was just the monk's insistence to use a corn cob gag and the discussion afterwards I found immensely entertaining.

We had a game once and the Pc's got bored camping outside an elf city, one guy found a skull and some bones on the ground and started doing a puppet show with them, then the Magus decides to use mage hand to float the skull, prestidigitation to move its jawbone and ghost sound to make it talk. They named it Edgar and had a gold skull cap crafted for it and it became their mascot, running it's mouth and floating around insulting people...it was a riot AND lots of fun!

Well I had one moment like this with my entire party. They were in Habe's Sanitarium and defeated the bad guy's already. The orderlies tell them that one of the inmates is a lycanthrope. The party spent an hour planing and grappling him so the cleric could cure disease. Problem was he was still insane so... hmmm
