I will say it is but then I am the owner of Heroic Journey Publishing who publishes Bounty Head Bebop (thru Cubicle 7) so I wont hide that. Itis what we call Rules quick, it still has some crunch in teh front end of character creation, but the play options and actual game mechanics get out of teh way and allow for some Anime Fun as well as Anime craziness.

Ηmm I see... are ship to ship combat rules covered?
(Not huge spaceship battles but rather a short encounter with a certain converted asteroid racer)

What about refluffing? If one were to use the i20 system for a Star*Drive campaign(we are looking for a less crunchy variation of Alternity) would that work?
