<Sigh>
We are apparently in capable of having a rational discussion about gun legislation. So, before the lock comes, thanks to everyone who engaged in a rational manner, opposing viewed or no.
I find it sort of ironic that the lock came in the last few threads after people start talking reasonably :)
But I like it when people have rational debates as well, I might never agree but I like it when I leave a discussion understanding the other side better.

These studies may seem to argue against some of the views that I hold, but the main issue still stands: After decades of Federal programs intended to aid the poor, improve schooling, and help them gain employable skills, why does widespread crime persist? (Crime rates have dropped, but not nearly enough…)
Because during that same time period, decent-paying jobs have become increasingly harder to find?

The debt isn't from social programs or the safety net, it's from gutting the tax code and military spending.

or in the reality of modern amerca some groups do indeed produce more criminals
Or we simply legalize the ways that rich people steal: wars, lobying, bribery, vulture capitalism, no bid contracts...
Knock an old lady down and take her purse with 200 dollars=criminal.
Buy the company that holds her 100,000 dollar pension fund, make it use the pension fund to pay you a 4 billion dollar "consulting fee". sell of parts of the company and have the part with her pension declare bankruptcy so they can't pay her= Presidential Candidate.

Yes, Citizen K(e)rensky, absolutely.
I hadn't forgotten, but I neglected to mention it.
