Hey guys I was trying to find something on here without spoiling the adventure for myself. I need to choose either alignment channel or elemental channel to take levels in holy vindicator. We're heading to ill marsh. I was thinking alignment with evil outsiders is a good one for the whole campaign. But I was wondring if elemental water was gonna come up at all in the marshes perhaps.

Looking at the Bestiary seems like a spoiler free way to help answer your question. While I agree with Victor completely, I feel it deserves some explanation without getting into spoilers. Looking over creatures with the four elemental types:
Air Air type critters (Air Elemental, Mephits, Inviso-Stalker,)Will o Wisps, and Green Dragons
Earth Blue and Copper dragons, Earth type critters (Elemental, Mephits, Xorn), Shaitans.. oh and gargoyles.
Fire Brass, Red, and Gold Dragons, fire type critters (elementals, mephits,Salamander) Efreeti and Hellhounds
Water Water type critters (Elementals, Mephits), Marids, and Black and Bronze dragons.
Thinking about these four groupings of monsters, I don't see a lot of them being in a horror setting. . Other than summoned elementals, I can almost guarantee that so far you haven't faced anything in the above groups. Sometimes APs throw you for a loop and give you a monster that you aren't expecting, but this is almost always the exception. Without getting into Bestiary 2, how likely do you feel that any of the above monsters are going to be making an appearance anytime soon?
Now, looking at the list of outsiders...
Evil Bargests, Bebilith, Demons, Devils, Hell hounds, Kytons, night hags, nightmares, vargouille, xill, yeth hounds
Good Archons, Angels, Azatas
Chaos Azatas, Bebeliths, Demons
LawfulArchons, Barghests, Devils, Hell Hounds, Kytons.
Not only is Evil Outsider the biggest grouping of monsters but it also lists creatures that have a much higher probability of appearing in a horror setting.
As far as maybe getting aquatic critters with Elemental channeling, you'll notice that very few creatures with the (Aquatic) subtype are actually of the (Water) subtype, meaning the list of probable targets effected by that power would be small.
Hope this helps!
