SANTA RIDES FORTH
The sleigh glides across the snow
throwing slush high and wide.
The reindeer breathing heavy
each struggling gasp steams forth.
The old man holds the reigns tight
Guiding their every movement true.
But they know the path that is theirs
and they follow heart and soul the path.
They go on through the burning frost
Their burden that is a joy to many.
The old rnan unconsciously pats the prize load
he knows the many days it took to make.
Then something different eyes amongst trees
wolves most rare in these parts.
Btl this has been a hard year for all
he pulls forth the small portions of meat.
They hunger more than he ever will
the old man throws them out behind.
Not wishing to spook the sleigh team
a few wolves catch the scent on the air.
They break rank first others follow
they follow after the sleigh watching
the old man feels the fear in the team.
The reindeer are nervous their fear rises
hunger overcomes all fears and the wolves break.
A hard white wolf falls upon the lead team
Rudolf falls his nose coated in his own blood.
The wolves fall upon them one by one
then Comet dies throat torn out.
Madness strikes those that remain
they can go nowhere tied down by harness.
Donner and Blitzen are easily taken
the weight of the dead drag them down.
Harness soaked in the blood of faithful deer
the old man struggles to fight the beasts off.
But to no avail and he too falls beneath
He will be theirs too the meat scent upon him.
Their hunger too great they feast upon all
the taste of salty warm blood fuels them.
A lone wolf hunts among the parcels
There is no food here only crafted wood.
He jumps clear scattering bag to ground
the wolf returns to his Christmas feast
none will know that Santa rides forth no more.

SILENT NIGHT
Oh what a night. it all went wrong.
First the party, then the fight.
The pies and pudding tasted like s~~@.
The nog tasted like the dog pissed in it.
Poor old mum would have cried all night,
But uncle Cleary copped a feel,
Then auntie Mary used a knife.
Around the house they ran all right.
Screaming drunken blue murder,
Gave the neighbours a fright.
Until all the coppers bailed them up
and hauled them off to the nick.
Dad laughed so hard he had a stroke,
then mum run off with another bloke.
So now we live in foster care,
and I hear mum is up the stick.
Poor uncle Cleary’s on his own,
because auntie Mary lost her appeal,
On account of how she used a knife.
Oh curse that party on Christmas night.
