We need a "just the dev info" thread

Since new people join all the time (welcome! good to see you), I see increasing need for a (sticky) thread with "just the info".

The best example I have is
this thread from Paradox forums.
Note the strict (minimalist) format: the idea is to get an "instant" overview before joining discussions with a lot of wrong assumptions.

Yes, it will be a lot of work. And I'm not sure the forum setup is suited wrt editing old posts, so worst case it has to be kept as a separate document linked to.

Any takers? I know Nihimon started something a few weeks ago to welcome newcomers, which could serve as a starting point.

You can look at a list of every post someone has ever made under their account. Linking this for all the GW employees who post on these forums would be a start.

Yeah, but a sticky thread with the basic assumptions and some explanations regarding PvP would be nice.

Could cut some threads here by about 80%.

What would be better is a wiki.

The Seventh Veil currently has a couple of projects in the pipeline, one of them is a unofficial Wiki, and the other is an internal project we're in the process of reviewing. If people want to join us as a scribe(access to wiki, no membership benefits) they can apply at our forums.

I have made a compilation post of the game-mechanic related blogs, and Nihimon has turned part of his profile into an information pool. People are making an effort, but community created things need constant backing(bumping) to stay in the mix.

imo, GW needs to have sticky threads for each category of information with links to the appropriate blogs and ongoing discussions.

The community has done a great job with this, but it is too much for the community to shoulder by itself.
