Hurricane Sandy

Hi,

I live in Manhattan in New York City, and was scheduled to receive my package right when the hurricane hit. The UPS tracking system now states 'recent activity' as "Natural Disaster".

I hope my package of 12 pounds of goodies arrives safe, and I also hope it arrives safe for all those with delayed packages due to Hurricane Sandy, aka, Frankenstorm.

I will let you guys know how it goes with delivery. I also have some miniatures coming from the UK as well. Man. :/

But, the most important thing is that we are all safe.

Best regards,

Belnor.

Wow, man. Glad you are safe! We live in Poughkeepsie (80 miles north of you) and have been watching the CBS NY news a good part of the day. It looks like it really got horrible around Battery Park, Staten Island and parts of Long Island and NJ.

Thanks for the concern Sara, and Papa-DRB!!

It did get bad around those parts. I am extremely lucky I did not lose power. My mother lost power though. Everything from 36th street and south went dark. I wonder how long till the trains are running normally again. Anyway, quite a few people lost their lives, and at Breezy Point between 80-100 houses burned to the ground, and got flooded. A lot of parts look like a bombed out railway.

Let's hope everybody else in the Pathfinder community in the New York City area, NJ, Philly, etc., made it out alright.

And, on a lighter note, let's hope our packages come unscathed.

Regards,

Belnor.

Shipment of goodies arrived today. All in perfect condition despite having gone through a natural disaster. Thanks for everything Paizo, and great job packing department!

Belnor.

Greetings, brother. I live in Brooklyn. Some friends of mine who live in Coney Island lost a lot, and certainly a lot of people in Breezy Point lost everything. Are you okay? Any flooding?

I'm out in Kew Gardens Queens and aside from a couple of trees getting cracked in half and / or upturned by the roots and pancaking a couple of cars, we're good out here as well. No loss of power or flooding.

Glad to hear my fellow NYC Pathfinders are alright.

Greetings, and good tidings, Freehold, and ShinHakkaider.

I live on the UWS, and we got lucky. I have friends in Little Odessa as well. Terrible shame. Apparently the death toll has risen to near 100, most of which are in Staten Island. Have some friends there as well.

If you fellow NYC Pathfinders do not mind, I shall add you as friends, and who knows, perhaps we can get a game together. I sometimes show up at the Strat. I'm from Murray Hill.

Till then, and I am happy that those who posted are okay, along with their families and friends.

Best regards,

Belnor.

I'm in Starett City and we had more than a few trees fall down. No fatalities to my knowledge, although one car was completely totaled. I have no problem with you adding me as a friend, and I don't think Shin would have a problem with it either. I hope to run into you at the Strat.

Likewise, brother.

Freehold is on point as far as the adding as a friend thing is concerned. I work around the corner from the Strat myself so yes I hope to run into you guys there sometime.
