Witch World by Andre Norton

Homebrew and House Rules

I was thinking of creating a setting based on Andre Norton's Witch World series, but I wasn't sure if anyone here has read it and might be able to offer suggestions for the races and such.

Witch World.

Thanks. I have the GURPS; I was hoping to create it for Pathfinder. I'm not looking to convert the GURPS, though, at least not without more input on what I could do on my own.

It'd be helpful to talk to someone that's read some or all of the series, but if anyone is curious about it there is a wiki.

The primary problem with converting the Witch World is completely different magic paradigm from the Vancian-inspired D&D. Do you have idea how to handle that or do you want to ignore the difference and avoid rebuilding magic system?

I was thinking of using a variation of the spell point system; a couple people here have tried to create variations of it for Pathfinder. Beyond that, I would rearrange the schools of magic to reflect the color system it has.

Check out the Super Genius system and the 3.5 version on the HypertextD20 on the net. both are very well thought out spell point systems.
