Clarification on crafting rules

Homebrew and House Rules

So crafting an item is 50% of its sell price.

So what about this rule...?

Item Requires Specific Class or Alignment to Use: Even more restrictive than requiring a skill, this limitation cuts the price by 30%.Does that mean I can choose to add LG alignment restriction to a +1 weapon.

Weapon Bonus: Bonus Squared x2000g
2000g - 30% = 1400g creation cost?

I get that you would need Craft Arms and Armor...I am asking if this is the way this was intended? That I can choose to "key" items and by doing so make them 30% cheaper.

Thank you in advance.

Liberty's Edge

If the GM allows it, yes you can add a restriction like 'good only' and reduce it's cost. (don't forget the +315gp for the Masterwork Longsword though.)

Don't forget to remind your GM that the monsters can do the same with their magic items.

Of course, the bad effect it's you could find potion of CLW only for evil or a sword +x only for undead... nothing's perfect!!
