Notice that aside from the Mythic rules, I have no clue what Paizo could do to to grow it's market shares. But this is the internet and I can play Experts and Counselors as much as I what! /evil laughIf you've been paying attention lately, you'll see they've been working on:
Pathfinder, the MMO
Pathfinder, the card game
Pathfinder, the virtual tabletop
Pathfinder, the collectable miniatures
Pathfinder, the comic book
Spaceballs, the flamethrower
Etc., etc. So clearly they're trying a bunch of things to grow/maintain their brand.
Don't forget the Beginner Box. I still think that's the key to the growth of Pathfinder RPG.
Or sell the brand to Disney.The only interesting question is if one day some Warren Worthington IV at Hasbro won't wake up, look at some random numbers and decide that it's a good day to shelf the D&D brand for the next 20 years, and to leverage the core competencies in a strategic environment of forward-thinking development of tactical awareness by making My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic the new leading Hasbro RPG product.

I would find it less hilarious if Disney sent an army of lawyers after Paizo and the OGL. Even if they know it would fail, it could drain a lot of resources out of Paizo.

I seriously doubt that would happen. The OGL is perfectly legal. Besides it wouldn't be Goliath fighting David. It would be more like Goliath fighting an ant. Not an army of ants, a single ant. Sure Goliath could crush the ant, but what would it gain him? The only thing it would gain Disney is bad press among hard core fans of the Marvel movies.
Disney won't care about the OGL - they want brand names.
So they'll get around to buying Paizo eventually. ;)
Lol, yeah, Pathfinder is turning into a fine brand.
The only reason why it would suie Paizo would be to crush it, to help D&D become the leader it once was. Of course they can also do this by producing a D&D cartoon show, movies, toys, multiple board games and card games for kids, etc, etc... Disney sounds more able to promote and sell an IP than Hasbro.
But this is all speculation.
