Applying GM credits to a character already above tier

Regardless of the wisdom of doing so, if I have a Level 6 character, can I apply credit from a Tier 1-5 scenario to that character, after GMing it?

No, you can only apply credit to a character that could have legally played that scenario. In this case only a 1-5 lvl char.
