PRC capstone

So i had this idea that might put some life into Prestige classes. Would it be unbalanced to give, at lv 20 a capstone ability equivalent to a capstone ability of a normal 20 level class to someone whom has all the levels of a prestige class?

For example someone who is an arcane archer with 10 levels and none levels in something else can instead get an 11th level of arcane archer and score a more useful capstone power, something onpar with say a rangers lv 20 power.

Bump

Bump anyone?

i guess if i were to have a problem with it its this, many prestige classes can be completed well before level 20 so unless your tenth level rested on 19 it could be horribly unbalancing. and if you were to do that i would restrict it to a class whose levels contributed to the prestige itself, lest it reek of cheese.
-the toast who ate wolves.
ps. this is quite a power upgrade for PCs so tread carefully.

I was thinking there would only be a capstone you would get at lv 20. basically it would be an 11th level of a PR class which you could only take when you have 19 levels, Or something like that.

Because as is diping even 1 level into a prclass severly weakens your character compaired to other level 20 with no dips.

that can be pretty true, though you still need to tread carefully, the dragon disciple can feature some pretty powerful builds. honestly just take it on a case by case basis, and you should be fine.
