Pathfinders,
This will be our third year at the Schenectady Wargamers Association’s Council of Five Nations. Since this is our region’s biggest gaming event we are making sure that Pathfinder Society is going to have a huge presence with over 50 tables. Every slot will have at least one scenario for each tier (1-5, 3-7, 5-9, & 7-11). There will be all three introduction scenarios for those just joining the Society. We will be closing out season 3 with all 8 of the Hao Jin Tapestry scenarios. Pathfinders will be getting their first taste of the wild lands of Varisia with the first 7 scenarios of season 4 scenarios including “Race for the Runecarved Key”, this year’s Battle Interactive. There will also be two tables of the Venture-Officer exclusive scenario, “The Cyphermage Dilemma”; one on Friday afternoon and the other Saturday afternoon.

In addition to these scenarios, there will be a number of other special Pathfinder events being run throughout the weekend, as well as contests to win and prizes to claim, including convention boons.

There are 3 full length Society sanctioned modules scheduled for the convention if you are looking for some more in-depth adventuring. Friday characters will get a chance to test themselves against the best warriors in the world in “The Ruby Phoenix Tournament”, Saturday will take Pathfinders into the “Realm of the Fellnight Queen”, and Sunday players must uncover the secrets of “The Midnight Mirror”.
Note: Modules take a least 2 slots of play to complete and may require players and GM’s to miss out on breaks.

For kids around 6-12 years old, we will be offering a number of great Pathfinder introductory events. Friday evening kids will get to be a little crazy with the short module “We Be Goblins!” Saturday morning and afternoon, we will be running the 4 Pathfinder Kid’s Track encounters, which were a huge hit at GenCon. After completing all 4 encounters each kid will receive a Pathfinder Diploma and can officially start their careers as Pathfinders. Sunday morning and afternoon, new Pathfinders will get a chance to show what they’re made of, as they are sent on their first official Society missions, with the intro scenarios “In Service to Lore” and “To Delve the Dungeon Deep”.

Important Notice:

Due to the limited seating available at this convention we will be enforcing the following seating priority:
1st: Pathfinder ticket, signed up on Warhorn
2nd: Pathfinder ticket, Not signed up on Warhorn
3rd: Generic ticket, signed up on Warhorn
3rd: Generic ticket, Not signed up on Warhorn

We are still looking for GM's so if you interested let me know. You'll get free admission to the Con, a T-Shirt, and a GM Con Boon.

You sign up for games link seems broken.

And why can I never make Council of Five Nations?

Hopefully this link to Co5N sign up works.

Caineach: Were are you located? If you can't make Council we do a lot of other PFS events through out the New York Capital Region.

Thanks Don, that was a copy and past error.

Hmmm I'm tempted to come down from Ottawa. Only a 5 hour drive so not much worse than a trip to Toronto. I'll have to check my work obligations, but very tempted.

we would love to have you. If you wanted to we are still looking for GMs. For running just one slot you would get free admission, a shirt, and the GM boon. I'm also offering crash space at my house for out of town GMs.

Cool. I am going to see what I can arrange with my work schedule but I would like to come and would be happy to GM one or two slots if I can make it work.

Pathfinders,
I hope you are all prepared because Council of Five Nations starts
this Friday! Warhorn is already filling up and if you want to
guarantee yourself a seat you will need to buy your tickets and sign
up fast.

Signing up on Warhorn will not only help save your seat, it will get you an
extra raffle ticket. For Every slot of Pathfinder you play and/or GM
you will receive additional raffle tickets that can be used to win one
of the numerous prizes Paizo has sent. With each ticket you get to
choose to enter to win The Innersea World Guide, an Advanced Players
Guide, or one our three Pathfinder Society Field Guides. On top of
these prizes we have 48 pathfinder novels to give out, and 4 special
Con boons to win!

Speaking of prizes I am very excited to announce that two local gaming
stores have stepped up to sponsor a couple of our special events!

Foam Brain Games, in Troy, is supplying 7 sets of dice to be awarded
to the winners of our Hottest Dice Contests! During each slot make sure
you keep track of the number of, in game, natural 20s you roll on a
d20 and the one with the most at the end of the slot wins!

Zombie Planet, in Colonie, has stepped up and is sponsoring our Kids
Track! One, or more, lucky players who completes at least 3 of our 5
kids track events will get to take a home their very own Beginners
Box! Plus, for kids who want to continue on with their Pathfinder
careers, Zombie Planet will be hosting Beginner's Pathfinder games on
the first Monday of each month from 5-8:30. The first session will be
in November and Zombie Planet will award a Pathfinder miniature to all
participants!
