So, a month was skipped this past season so that scenarios could start being released on the first Wednesday of each month. Then August's releases got pushed back to the third Thursday. Now September's releases (and October's and November's for that matter) are now listed as coming out on the LAST Wednesday of their respective months, essentially delaying them all three or four weeks.
What happened?
I do not ask this idly. I checked Guide 4.2; it says scenarios are released on the First Wednesday each month. This will have an impact on what I offer each month, so I am genuinely curious what is up. I don't want to get blindsided by scenarios being moved back ANOTHER week to comply with the Guide's language, again.

This one must have slipped by you...
Many of you probably remember back in the spring when we announced that we planned to release Pathfinder Society Scenarios at the start of each month instead of the end beginning in Season 4. This is still a goal we're working for, but we're not yet in a position with the schedule where we can do that. As such, we're sticking with the existing release schedule for the time being, and will switch to a beginning of the month release schedule when we actually get there. Current projections are that we'll be able to switch over mid-season, but as we discovered just before Gen Con regarding September's scenarios, the best laid plans...
So I have to eat a little bit of crow here, and admit that I jumped the gun in announcing our plans before all the ducks were in a row for said plan, and thus won't be giving a definitive date of when we'll actually be on an operating schedule that allows for beginning-of-the-month releases. We're close to being on that schedule now, but even if we rushed the September scenarios out this week, I can't promise we'd be able to do the same for the October pair. When we're at a point where we can sustainable release scenarios sooner, we'll do so, and we'll let everyone know at that time.
Sorry if this causes anyone scheduling problems, but it's the way it has to be for the next few months. Look for the next few months' worth of scenario announcements soon, with their current end-of-the-month release dates.

Yep. It did. I even went looking for something like that post, but only went back about a week. Thanks for that.
Of course, this means I'll get blindsided in the middle of the season with a one week delay as everything gets shifted. Argh.
[Edit] Unless it means that they'll release one month's on the last Wednesday, and the following month a week later. That I wouldn't complain about...
