Point Buy

I was wondering how many points a high level campagin would have for 7 not 6, Attributes. This is using the point buy in the 3.5 Dungeon Master's guide.

In theory, take the points allowed, divide them by 6 and you have the amount to add for the 7th attribute. Assuming it's a 25 point buy, you'll end up with 29-30 points for a 7 attribute system. Not perfect, I know.

If the 7th attribute is comeliness or something related to appearance, just use the standard point buy system for the 6 normal stats and roll 4d6 drop the lowest for the 7th.

well why roll at all? why not make it part of the buy? I'm doing this for Castles and Crusades which has beauty for the 6th attribute. Having an 18 is like having charm for free. Well worth the buy.
