Liberty's Edge

Hi, I will soon be creating a new character, and would like to employ the efforts of a skilled artist. My need is for four things. First and foremost I would like a talented artist to draw the characters, both mine and my wife's, as we will mostly be playing these two together. Secondly I may need modded miniatures suiting the characters and that part may be difficult. If you are a talented artist who might be interested please let me know so that I may discuss with you a reasonable fee for your time and efforts. Thank you.

Oh man... miniature sculpting... if only I had more time I'm sorry...

For funzies, what are you and your wife's characters?

Good question.

Liberty's Edge

ok, the concept for me is a goblin, piratesque gunslinger, and she is playing a goblin alchemist. We don't necessarily need unique sculpts, but we'd like them to be like Paizo Goblins, not like Wizard's goblins, because Paizo Goblins look more fun. I'd of course like mine to figure a Tri-Corn Hat, and large Pistol, while She would like hers to be a female goblin featuring a prominent Bomb, she was thinking the ACME variety with a long fuse (think Looney Tunes). The big wide goblin heads are necessary.

I for one, am glad I grew up in a generation that knows what that is. I once met a 10 or 12 year old girl while volunteering with my parents at the local library and she didn't know what an anvil was. I used looney toons as my example, still didn't know. What happened world?

I'll ask around at the LGS, but I'm not sure if the guy there is taking on new projects at the moment.

I am glad I was a kid when Looney Toons were Looney Toons... not this new crap...

Hmm the bomb is the easy part in that sculpt... as is the Hat... the gun and their heads... yeah... I would be begging for the gun to be real so I could play Russian Roulette with it.

Liberty's Edge

I figure even with my mediocre skills the bomb could be done with Green stuff, just roll a ball of it around a string, then paint black and glue into existing official Paizo Goblin's hand. I don't know how to go about the Hat and gun, however and was thinking about finding a halfling noble or something along the lines of what I am looking for and attaching a goblin head to the body, though I found a really cool looking goblin pirate by reaper that I think fits the bill pretty close, I just wish it had the Paizo Goblin head!

This looks good, and almost exactly on target.

Hmm look at some warhammer fantasy battles bits they have some nice guns... might take a little converting.

If you want a Looney Toons style bomb find a small rubber bouncy ball and carefully drill a hole into it with a pin drill. Then just glue some stiff string into it. Note that I am talking about the bouncy balls that are around a dimes diameter not the quarter sized ones.

I have done this for a buddy... her Master Engineer looks ridiculous and yet frightening at the same time...

Liberty's Edge

I was thinking of perhaps green stuff painted black, rolled around in the hollow of my hand.

That can take forever to smooth out and to get to look right...

Silver Crusade

I can not help you with the miniature modifications but if you are still in need of an artist PM me and I can provide you with examples of my artwork.
