Shae...

Homebrew and House Rules

Can anyone better at this sort of thing create a playable race like the Shae from Bestiary III using the Advanced Race Guide rules?

One of my players really likes them and I'd like to be able to show him something...

Thanks in advance for any help!

Fetchling is the answer.

There's no way to give them abilities more akin to what the Shae have?

Thanks

Other than the amorphous, everything can be covered by being a spellcaster.
To become amorphous, the Cave Druid can wildshape into an ooze.

you want to play that.....

the fletchling is the spawn of a shae and a human

so its an option but not a full shae.

I admit the shae look interesting enough to want to play one too
but not so much on the fetchling.

If you want, you could grab a FR 3.e book and use the shade template and just add it to a base human so that its no template and go from there

A fetchling is a playable-level half-Shae.
If you want to play a full Shae, just give a Shae class levels.
From what I can tell from a quick read, putting together something with the Shae's powers with the advanced race guide comes out with a race that is pretty much the same power level as just using a Shae anyways, so it doesn't really make a difference... You can't make a race that is a lot more like Shae than a Fetchling is without going well over the 10 RP standard race level.
