Batman-Inspired Flowing Monk

I'm working on two builds for friends in our new Skulls & Shackles campaign, and I am going to do two different threads, one for each.

The first one wanted to do a Batman build, and said he wanted to focus on redirecting attacks, and the best thing I could find was the Flowing Monk with their Redirection ability.

I'm just looking for some assistance on how to expand upon that idea.

This build is going to primarily be the tank of the group.

I wouldn't really describe the Bat as a tank, he is a little more tactical.

I think you may be going in the right direction using the monk though.

Is he going to kill or no? These things must be taken into account before going down the Path-finding of the Bat.

He's going to kill enemies if that's what you mean.

It's just Batman-inspired, not "make my character Batman". I've seen threads about how to make different superheros using the d20 system, and it just doesn't work in my opinion; especially for a character with such a variety of capabilities in his backstory as Batman.

Mainly what he is going for is preventing attacks, redirecting them to other enemies, etc.

Like when Batman is surrounded by 10-12 thugs and he just blocks all their attacks and then counter-attacks, and throws them into each other, makes them hit each other or even themselves.

Sounds good then. I have yet to do a monk build, so I am the last person to really give advice on this build. I will research it and try to help.
