How much money do you spend on music?

Music & Audio

See, one can compare this to people's listening habits and determine who is up to ILLEGAL ACTIVITY.

Or, you know, who is youtubing or pandoring or lastfming or whatever.

I probably spend ten bucks every couple of months.

I spend what some might consider a fortune. Average I would say about 30-50 dollars a month. I am a vinyl collector though.

I used to spend a ton of money on music but now I don't. After a decade working in used record stores, I have amassed enough cds and records to last me until I'm dead 3x over.

Nowadays, I probably buy 2 records/cds every month, and most of the time it's replacing stuff I've lost over the years.

I buy a song every month or so, for .99 or 1.29 on iTunes.

Currently? Zero.

In my lifetime I've bought about 300 CDs and maybe 50 cassettes.

Never bought music digitally as I've yet to find a service that I like.

Um...I listen mostly to the radio. The big band stuff on NPR on Saturday nights, the metal and trance music-only stations on the cable, and a lot of random stuff on KJAQ FM.

Recently I bought a song I like and haven't heard on the radio much.

Where do you live, that you have big band on Saturday nights?

All of my Saturday night fare is hipster.

Silver Crusade

Near Seattle. KUOW is the station, and here's a link. :)

Liberty's Edge

Ah that reminds me of American Routes. Good show, but they're cancelling it for some hipster talk shows. Actually, they're also cancelling the hipster music show.

Portland station, for the record.
