What is a scrub knife?

I just found a reference to a scrub knife in the 3rd party book Nyambe: African Adventures. I'm thinking it's like a machete but I can't find any other references online to it, does anyone here know?

Perhaps they meant "shrub knife"?

According to the book The Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales, Volume 7, a scrub knife is "a combination of a thin sword-blade and a bill-hook." Thus, I think it's like a machete where the blade curves outward a little.

I imagine it looks a lot like this bush knife, which is a form of machette.
