Ready Player One, The DnD Campaign

Homebrew and House Rules

Well, sort of. I'm thinking about running a game similar to the story of the book, (Probably borrowing heavily from .Hack and some of the out of immersion stuff from assassin's creed as well as Ready Player One.) and wondered if anyone had any ideas for such a campaign.

Looks Like I found another dot hack fan

a one player campaign has it's ups and downs, and would require a lot of prep work, like NPCs, recruitable NPCs, places, encounters etc...

Err, I don't think he means a single player campaign, Azure. Ready Player One is a book.

That's correct, it would not be single player but would focus on playing your "character" or "avatar" in the virtual world and also dealing with stuff in the real world, probably simulated by a commoner with a chance for access to modern weapons if you felt like you would need them.

Oh, don't I feel like a fool....
