Bard Advice for Skulls and Shackles Campagin

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

Hello everyone,

My game group will be doing the Skulls and Shackles campaign in the near future, and I am strongly leaning towards a Bard. We have six players in the group.

I know Bards are complicated and challenging characters. I've played a Controller Bard build based around Treantmonks guide on Pathfinder SRD, and I really enjoyed the buff and screw with things play style, particularly since given my group size we have no shortage of damage dealers. What I have in mind at the moment is to utilize a whip and disarm or trip opponents instead of damage dealing, then back it up with spells and songs. I've also considered the Sea Singer archetype.

My GM for this campaign is new to RPG's, and is restricting play only to Pathfinder material, so D&D 3.5 stuff is out.

If anyone out there can offer some advice or build links for the class, I'll be grateful.

Have you seen the Buccaneer? My friend coupled it with the Enforcer feat and Skill Focus (Intimidate).

There's also the Daredevil and Sea Singer.

cheers
