GP Limit for less than 5 fame

My friends and I have 4 fame after completing the first two First Steps adventures.

One player wanted to buy a Wayfinder for 250 gp, but I was unsure of what the rules were for max purchase under 5 fame.

Does anyone know the rules for low-fame characters?

A character with Fame 1-4 can only buy items that are always available, on a chronicle sheet or purchased with Prestige points. However wayfinders are always available.

Any item you have earned on a Chronicle sheet is considered Always Available unless it advises a limit, such as limit: 1.

You can either spend 600 gp on it, or spend 2 PP to purchase an item up to 750 gp.

Yes, it's a starter discount.
