My party finished its commando raid on Fort Drelev last night, and it was a partial success. They went in during the day using the secret passage, and managed to avoid setting off any alarms until the library, shortly after which they grabbed Baroness Drelev from her room and bugged out.
Here's where things get a little tricky. They want to ransom the Baroness, but to her brother, not to her husband. Their offer is basically "work for us and/or sabotage the fort's defenses, and you can have your sister back." (They've also put this in large type on a sign next to her, for when the scrying inevitably starts up again.)
Any ideas on how he might respond to this?
Also, since the Baroness is likely going to be asked this question soon, what exactly is the current official relationship of Pitax to Fort Drelev? To the PCs' kingdom? Are they considered an occupying force, or did they officially withdraw and leave Drelev a bunch of mercenaries after showing him who actually rules the Slough? Am I correct that the invasion of Tatzlford was Drelev's idea?
