Really, Alabama? Really!?
Quote: Christian Identity Ministries is holding a three-day conference for so-called "white Christians" who contend they have been treated unfairly, the Rev. Mel Lewis told local TV station WSFA. Because when I think of oppressed groups in the states, oh yeah...I think of of white Christians.
After being a bit incredulous several months back about the racism that still passes in the US I wasn't surprised to read this.
I think it is about time to cut a few states free of the union.
Looks around -- alright so are we sure this isn't an onion article? That's a bit much right there.
Though it is Alabama...
I was shocked at the open racist overtones of the US as well when I saw the BET awards, amazing! That wouldn't be allowed in this country.
One would think by 2012 humans would have managed to move past racism. I only hope that things such this are the last gasps of a dying breed of people. Probably not, but a man can hope.
We have at least several centuries before that happens.
When the majority of the World population still has deeply entrenched racist views then I think we have 0 chance of seeing racism gone. As we type there's race wars going on around the world and genocides being carried out - I reckon that in the grand scheme what this Pastor is doing is just a bit of misguided stupidity. On the upside at least you now know who he is, so you can avoid him and his views.

What was openly racist?
Starting with the name and the platform?
Make it the WET, await the outcry! A WET award would be the sort of thing I would have expected out of the heights of the South African Apartheid days. Unacceptable.
Where's Eminem represented in those awards. Racism pure and simple.
