Ranger Question - Favored Enemy?

Skull & Shackles

Liberty's Edge

Hello,

I'm thinking of playing a Ranger in an upcoming S&S campaign, can someone make a recommendation for a good Favored Enemy selection?

Thanks!

"...aberration, humanoid (giant), monstrous, humanoid, and in particular, humanoid (human)."

Definitely go with humanoid (human) for your first. Best favored terrain would be water.

So far it hasn't mattered on what AP you are in, Humanoid (Human) is ALWAYS the first, best and highest boosted FE you take. You get the biggest bang for your buck out of that choice, 80% of all encounters you have in the first 3-4 books of every AP you will get to use your FE bonus somehow.

Well except carrion crown. Put undead first, then human. I'm at book 3 and undead are everywhere in this AP.
