In my games I always encourage players to think outside of the box for their characters and Im will to bend or write new rules to accomodate them. A PC has handed me a good backstory for an ogre that he wants to play. He doent mind if his race bonuses are the same as those given in the Bestiary as it is the flavour he is after more than the bonuses.
Im a little worried at a large creature at 1st level but plan to throw in a few high hp enemies to soak up the increased damage. So not wanting to disappoint him I came up with these stats for a 1st level Ogre.
Ogre
+6 Str, -2 Dex, -2 Int, -2 Wis, -2 Cha
Large Humanoid (giant)
Speed: 30ft
Low Light Vision
Natural Armour: You gain a +2 Natural Armour bonus to your Armour Class
Size, Large: You are Large sized and gain a -1 size penalty to AC, a -1 size penalty on attack rolls, a +1 bonus to Combat Maneuver Bonus and Combat Maneuver Defence, and a -4 size penalty on Stealth checks.
What are your thoughts/ opinions?

The large size alone is with those abilities is worth 1 level.
I would tell him him he gets one class level, but everyone should start with two class levels.
While I usually dislike level adjustments, I have to agree with wraithstrike that the abilities are a bit too strong. The size and str bonus is a huge benefit for a fighter-type, while the drawbacks are not that significant.

Bwang's stats sound closer to balanced. Bonuses to both STR and CON must be heavily balanced, the -DEX is sort of balanced by the NA so things are pretty good.
I'd love to make a character with those stat adjustments and go straight into Titan Mauler. My damage would get pretty silly.
EDIT: On second thought, the -4 to WIS sounds harsh. I never think of Ogres as unwise. Incredibly stupid (-INT) and gullible (-CHR) but not unwise or rash.

Thanks for the advice everyone. In the end we settled for a Half-Ogre with the following stats.
Half Ogre
+4 Str, -2 Dex, +2 Con, -2 Int, -2 Wis, -2 Cha
Medium Humanoid (giant)
Speed: 30ft
Low Light Vision
Natural Armor: You gain a +1 Natural Armor bonus to your Armor Class
Powerful Build: You are treated as being one size category large for any effects relating to you. These include carrying capacity, CMB and CMD, grapple checks and spells.
