Monk of the Sacred Mountain Varient

Homebrew and House Rules

Most of the changes swap out what I felt to be non-mountain like abilities (i.e. Fast Movement, Abundant Step, ect.). I tried to keep it as balanced as possible; focusing on the tank role and drawing a lot from the Stalwart Defender prestige class. The Bouns Feats list is not really complete, but I think it covers the basics.

Constructive comments would be appreciated, thanks.

Class Features:

Bonus Feats: A monk of the sacred mountain replaces the normal monk bonus feats with the following: Combat Reflexes, Step Up, and Toughness. At 6th level, the following feats are also available: Bodyguard and Following Step. At 10th level, the following feats are added: In Harm's Way and Step Up and Strike.

Iron Monk (Ex): At 2nd level, the monk gains a +1 natural armor bonus. This bonus increases by 1 at 8th level and every 6 levels thereafter. This ability replaces evasion.

Uncanny Dodge (Ex): At 3rd level. Replaces Fast Movement.
Improved Uncanny Dodge (Ex): At 7th level.

Bastion Stance (Ex): Same plus: In addition, at 16th level, a monk of the sacred mountain may take a 5-foot step and still gain the benefits of bastion stance.

Iron Limb Defense (Ex): Same plus: In addition, at 16th level, a monk of the sacred mountain may take a 5-foot step and still gain the benefits of iron limb defense.

Adamantine Monk (Ex): Same plus: At 12th level, as a free action, the monk may spend an additional 1 ki point after doubling his DR to add his Wisdom modifier to his DR. Replaces Abundant Step.

Vow of Silence (Su): Same

Iron Body (Su): At 19th level, a monk gains the ability to harden his body to that of iron for 1 minute gaining DR 15/adamantine and immunity to critical hits, as well as a +6 enhancement bonus to Strength. Using this ability is a move action that consumes 2 points from his ki pool. This ability replaces empty body.
